WebIdentity
is the latest evolution of the Eutron SmartKey, the
hardware key for protecting software from illegal
copying, which has been sold worldwide to more than 1
million users over the past 10 years. It now covers
Internet security and user identification |
|

|
Eutron
supplies the product with a Software Development Kit
which lets Partners integrate WebIdentity
easily and quickly with other applications. |
|

|
In
order to use the security and authentication features
the user need only connect WebIdentity
to the USB port of the personal computer (or
piggy-backed to other devices): the Plug&Play
features of the peripheral devices with USB
interfaces, together with the fact that no other
hardware or software components are necessary, means
ease of use and rapid implementation. Moreover, the
size of WebIdentity, which is about
the same size as a door key, makes it easy to carry
around wherever you go. |
|

|
The
size and the kind of product and the fact that the
outside of it can be customized make it the ideal
means for marketing campaigns, for the company image
or to evangelize the services offered and protected by
WebIdentity. |
|

|
Through
the use of a Risc microprocessor with encryption
capabilities, the WebIdentity device
handles internal memory up to 8Kbytes protected with
double access codes in which the user information is
held. The parameters needed for the definition of an
encryption key (time-variable) for the protection of
the transactions are also protected inside the device. |
|

|
WebIdentity
is the most cost effective solution available today
compared with other hardware devices on the market for
user authentication. |
