Biolink
Identification Server
BioLink
has introduced a revolutionary line of
biometric fingerprint authentication servers for medium
to large networks that perform high-speed
authentication against a large database of
users. Few solutions exist today that can
support a "pure biometric search"
against a large database of biometric I.Ds.
BioLink has pioneered unique technologies
that enable corporations to manage their
networks through advanced biometric
identification. The Authenteon biometric
fingerprint recognition servers are
stand-alone devices that are easily
integrated into existing networks and with
limited conflicts with existing S/W
topologies.
The
new AuthenteonTM
Appliance server from BioLink combines user
identification in a Windows NTX operating
environments with hardware to solve today's
most problematic security issue - positive
authentication of every user in the database
or on your network. The server works with up
to 5000 users.
Performance
driven and easy to deploy, the Authenteon
Appliance is the perfect choice for any
company that wants a proven, plug-in
appliance for ensuring personnel
identification
and proper access to their networks.
The
Authenteon is a dedicated biometric
fingerprint authentication device that stores the
biometric identities of all authorized
personnel or users on a network and runs
high-speed matches against the database to
facilitate user identification and logon.
The biometric identities, called templates,
are entered over the network and maintained
on the Authenteon server. The template
database itself is not open to access from
anyone, not even the administrator.
Authenteon
comes with a 900MHz CPU and 128MB IDE
memory, enabling the unit to process 50
simultaneous requests in under three
seconds. Once a user's biometric identifier
(template) is matched in the database,
authorisation and logon is completed.
