The
Iris Access system for access
control creates a new standard of
performance for access control security, privileging
flexibility and other security applications.
Iris recognition technology, coupled with LG
Electronics-produced imaging platforms,
delivers a system with superb accuracy,
throughput speed and convenience to meet any
physical access-based identification need.
Voice prompt, auto focus, plus enrolment
and recognition speed make the system easy
to use. An individual is automatically
detected upon approaching the imager. Just a
glance from 3–10" away allows the
camera to capture an iris image, which is
digitally processed into a 512 byte IrisCode® record.
No PINs, passwords or cards are
required.When a presented iris matches a
valid IrisCode record in the database,
access is granted almost instantaneously.
Iris Access’ distributed processing
functionality permits central enrolment and
privileging/ support of up to 256
remote doors off a single host. An active
and archival iris database capability
incorporates a search function enabling
real-time database rationalization to make
enrolment of duplicate records or under
aliases impossible.
Authorized administrators can enrol,
delete or alter files or privileges.
System software is designed to produce a
variety of standard reports to help monitor
performance. While the system is designed to
operate in single factor mode, it is
flexible and can be integrated to
accommodate smartcards or other tokens.
